This cocktail contains 4 cl of crunchy rhythm guitars like AC/DC, 2 cl of Bryan Adams stadium melodies, a dash of Cheap Trick and then topped up with a driving rhythm section à la Bon Jovi. Shaken well, the result is grooving rock with rough edges and the typical UNCHAIN finesse. It exudes timeless elegance and comes across as authentic. Exactly: that’s what makes the spark jump from the stage into the audience – you can’t escape it.
And yes: UNCHAIN have been making stages unsafe for a while now and inspire with their live energy. Because they know how to put on a rock’n’roll show. They are notorious for it. The rock five-piece from the Bernese Seeland has plenty of experience: They have earned their spurs over the years in bars, clubs and halls. As support acts for Krokus, Uriah Heep, Steve Lukather (TOTO) and Europe, for example, they have been able to prove what they are capable of in front of large audiences. Venues such as the Z7 in Pratteln or the Volkshaus in Zurich were played. Legendary: the sold-out record launch in the mystic Mühle Hunziken.
The self-titled debut “UNCHAIN” was released internationally in 2005. In 2009, the second album, “Plug & Play,” was recorded by Tommy Vetterli (Coroner). In 2021, the EP “Faith” was produced by Michael Stalder (e.g. QL) at United Studios. In 2024, three more songs penned by UNCHAIN were released throughout the year and the trilogy culminated in the vinyl single “Something New”.
You can definitely have faith in what’s to come: UNCHAIN have once again unleashed themselves and are ready to rock the stages. More than ever…
