The TJS formed in 2013 at the CPM Music Institute in Milan, the school founded by Franco Mussida (PFM), where the two members began shaping their musical identity through study sessions and extensive experimentation in the rehearsal rooms. From this creative process came TJS, their debut album, released in 2017.

“We wanted to give as much space as possible to instinct and immediacy, both in the harmonic structures and in the melodies,” they explain. “The vocal lines don’t follow a predictable path; the only constant is a magma-like flow of impulses. The lyrics were written with the same spontaneity, leaving listeners free to interpret them as they wish. If we could travel back to Prehistoric times and hand a man of that era a guitar, distortions, fuzz, reverbs and a microphone, the result would probably sound like our record.”

Recorded live at BlapStudio in Milan and produced by Antonio Polidoro, the album embraces a raw, direct sound, faithful to the band’s live energy. The twelve tracks reflect their fascination with the animal world—its authenticity, simplicity and untamed force. The visual concept includes photography and video by Sara Brasacchio and cover artwork by Valeria Traversi.

After a series of concerts promoting the debut, the TJS began collaborating with various producers to explore new sonic directions and artistic dimensions. Between 2018 and 2024, they released several singles in both English and Italian, gradually shaping a more defined artistic identity.

In 2020, Mammoth, a track from their first album, was included in the soundtrack of Cambio Tutto, a film by Guido Chiesa produced by Medusa Film.
