The original core of Tarchon Fist was formed at the end of March 2005, following the breakup of Rain, the historic Italian band active on the metal scene since the 1980s, whose guitarist, founder and main songwriter was Luciano “Lvcio” Tattini.
This event coincided with the arrival of Marco “Wallace” Pazzini, bassist and founder of Basic Dreams, a well-known band from Bologna founded in 1994.
The initial idea was to continue the Rain project, but a series of unfavorable circumstances made it impossible. Within a few weeks, the first lineup of Tarchon Fist was complete.
The name TARCHON FIST represents the logical evolution of Rain: Tarchon was an Etruscan king who later became a hero and was eventually deified as the god of the storm. The word fist was chosen to emphasize the power and impact of the band’s sound on stage.
At the end of 2005, the band recorded a promo, accompanied by a video clip for the song “Eyes of Wolf”.
Thanks to this video, Tarchon Fist were contacted by the label My Graveyard Productions, with whom they signed a contract in 2007.
In January 2008, My Graveyard Productions announced the release of the debut album “Tarchon Fist”.
Just a year later, in 2009, the band released their second album, “Fighters“, celebrated with a double release party.
After a lineup change, with Mirco “Ramon” Ramondo on vocals and Sergio “Rix” Rizzo on guitar, and following numerous concerts throughout Italy, the band’s goal became to bring Italian metal across Europe.
In October 2013, the third album “Heavy Metal Black Force” (My Graveyard Productions) was released.
To celebrate their first ten years of activity, in December 2015, the band released “Celebration 2005–2015” (Il Male Production), featuring the brand-new title track “Celebration” alongside the most popular songs from their first decade.
During 2016, Tarchon Fist began working on a new album, preceded in July 2017 by the EP “Proud To Be Dinosaurs”, featuring Giacomo “Jack” Lauretani on drums.
In August 2018, the band performed at the world’s biggest metal festival — Wacken Open Air.
In February 2020, following the release of their concept album “Apocalypse” (2019) on the German label Pride & Joy Music, Tarchon Fist embarked on a European tour with Lordi.
Due to the pandemic, the tour was interrupted, and the band returned to Italy earlier than planned.
During the lockdown, working individually from home and recording together only during the few moments allowed by restrictions, Tarchon Fist began creating a new album — a tribute to passion and the flame that keeps on burning — titled “The Flame Still Burns”, released in April 2023 by Underground Symphony.
As a result of the pandemic’s side effects, Jack was forced to leave the band and was immediately replaced by Lorenzo “Stupa” Stupazzoni, a longtime friend and former session musician for Tarchon Fist.
A year later, the lineup was completed with Mattia “Matt” Vescovi, a talented drummer from Switzerland.
Since 2010, the band has performed in Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, England, Spain, the Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary, France, and Slovakia, maintaining the same lineup with the exception of the drummer.
In October 2025, Tarchon Fist announced the release of a special anniversary album celebrating twenty years of the band’s career — “XX Years of Rock and Heavy Metal” — scheduled for release in November under Underground Symphony.
The album artwork — as with the previous Apocalypse and The Flame Still Burns — was created by Mr. Stan W. Decker, the renowned illustrator in the metal world (Megadeth, Avantasia, Stryper, Blackmore, Primal Fear).
