Iris Moné

Iris Moné started to perform as singer at 16 years old, winning a local talent competition and co-founding her first band “Wanted Witches”. Soon after, she started singing on Swiss TV shows, and at festivals and music clubs in Switzerland and Italy. Since early childhood, she has played piano and flute, adding percussion and songwriting later on.

At 19, she moved from Locarno to Zürich for 4 years, and graduated from University. At the same time, she co-founded a new band “Wave Flow” that released 2 CDs and attracted media attention. They performed at the Montreux Festival and in the Piazza Duomo of Milan.

Shortly after, she started collaborating with more musicians, songwriters and groups.

She joined the Swiss-Italian sognwriter Marco Zappa for 3 CDs and tours, representing South Switzerland at the Expo02 (national TV live concert) and at the “Swiss Week” of Chicago.

In 2007, she became part of the CD and project “Swiss Miss”, singing traditional Swiss songs in a rearranged style. They performed at the US Embassy in Washington DC, in NYC, and later represented Switzerland at the Expo15 in Milan.

Iris released her first solo project CD “Rinasco” in 2011 in Italian, which gained extensive airplay on Swiss-Italian radio stations. In 2013, she was a contestant on the famous TV show “The Voice” in its first edition in Switzerland. She came in third place in the finale, gaining national recognition, and then performed with her own band of musicians all over the nation and Germany.

In 2015, Iris moved to San Diego, California. Here she has deepened her songwriting knowledge and skills, and collaborated and co-wrote with artists and producers between San Diego and Los Angeles. She has been invited twice to perform the US National Anthem at Petco Park baseball stadium in San Diego.

In 2019, Iris released three new singles in English and completed a tour in Costa Rica, Panama and El Salvador for the Swiss Embassies and “Italian Language Week.”

These songs have been downloaded in all 5 continents and 60 countries.

During the lockdown, she collaborated online with songwriters and producers worldwide.

In September 2022 the new album “Anima(lità)”, written and sung in Italian, was relased with the new project and duo “kardada”. The singles “BLU Kalifornia” and “Caotico destino” gained more than 15’000 Youtube viewers in just a few weeks.

In February 2023 Iris released her new single On&On, true to her soul-pop style.

Her live performances are moving but also energetic, with an intent to uplift and carry a positive message to the audience.
