Born in 2019 in the Lausanne region of Switzerland, Dirty Velvet is a band that embodies energy, style, and musical freedom through a powerful and unique sound. Led by guitarist Pascal “Sly” Cuts, the group blends punk-rock, funk-rock, and progressive rock influences to create authentic and impactful music.

From concept to stage

After ten years with “Sands of Time”, Sly gave birth to Dirty Velvet. From the very first rehearsals, the band found its musical identity—free, intense, and unbound by traditional frameworks. Initially, the vocals were handled by a female singer, but Kris’s arrival marked a new era, with a voice at the heart of their sonic universe.

Musical journey

In 2022, Dirty Velvet signed with the German label Fastball Music. Their debut album, “Far Beyond The Moon”, was released on April 14, 2023. On stage, the band delivers an electrifying performance, alternating between melodic softness and raw power.

New projects

In the spring of 2024, Dirty Velvet completely renewed its set and delved into new compositions.
In 2025, three new tracks were released, accompanied by a music video for the single “The Light of This Morning”.
