AYRA is the Neurocore Metal project born from the artistic vision of the eponymous singer, pianist, composer, and producer. Initially conceived as a personal studio project, AYRA fuses the power and aggression of modern metal with the sonic architectures of symphonic, progressive, and electronic music, creating a unique and uncompromising sound experience.
The project’s strength lies in the complete control over the creative process: every track is entirely composed, arranged, recorded, and mixed by AYRA himself, ensuring a distinct stylistic signature for each production and a meticulous attention to detail that defines his musical identity. This autonomy stems from a solid academic background, which includes two degrees in classical Piano from the “G. Verdi” Conservatory of Milan, and training as a sound designer (he is currently an endorser and creates sound patches for MeldaProduction, Reveal Sound, and Tone2), as a C++ programmer specializing in audio applications, as a light designer, and as a singer. His extensive career has also seen him collaborate with music icons such as Ian Paice, the legendary drummer of Deep Purple, participate in major national productions on the Arena di Verona stage alongside Italian superstar Elisa, and distinguish himself by winning national piano competitions, including the “Best Interpreter” award at the “Sara Preatoni” competition.
The success of the first singles, released on streaming platforms, generated strong public demand, transforming AYRA from a solo project into a powerful live act. To translate the complexity and sonic impact of his productions to the stage, AYRA has enlisted a rhythm section of exceptional talent. The live lineup features Stefano “Skool” Scola on bass and Fabrizio Uccellini on drums. As highly experienced and virtuosic musicians, Stefano and Fabrizio are not mere performers; they are the driving force behind AYRA’s live energy, bringing precision, dynamics, and a commanding stage presence, as well as a professional and creative stimulus that amplifies the artist’s vision.
Shortly after its formation, the band achieved its first major milestone by reaching the finals of Sanremo Rock. Since then, live performance has become a central focus of the project, with highly acclaimed shows across Italy and abroad. For the enjoyment of its musicians and to pay homage to a source of inspiration, the band has also staged a Nightwish tribute tour, featuring special guest Chiara Manese on vocals, further enriching the group’s musical offering and chemistry.
Currently, AYRA is finalizing his debut album, a work that promises to push the boundaries of Neurocore Metal even further by continuing to explore new expressive forms and sonic experimentation.
